 Japanese language coursesJapan in the twentieth century has become an integral part of Western civilization and is among the countries with the most developed economy and highest standard of living. However, at heart, Japan continues to be true to its traditions. Japan is a country of high technology, new discoveries and a strong economy, but on the other hand, is also a country of origami, samurai, elegant watercolors with Mount Fuji in the distance and a diverse and fascinating culture.

"The land of the Rising Sun" is in itself a huge open-air museum. Even to this day there are preserved monuments of art and architecture, which date from the beginning of the II millennium. And these sit side-by-side with modern skyscrapers.

The knowledge of Japanese
will help you to comprehend this mysterious world, wrapped in exotic legends.

In Japan, people carefully preserve their culture and are proud of it, and are glad to share it with you. Therefore, the knowledge of their native language will increase your chances for success, not only while getting to know the country, but also in business relationships. After all, Japanese takes third place in global business. Increasingly, companies are looking for professionals who speak Japanese.

 

 

International O'key Language School  is opening up new Japanese classes in Prague!

1. Standard Courses

 The courses of JapaneseThe courses of Japanese teach you the practical use of the language, they develop your speaking proficiency, listening and reading comprehension, successful writing skills. While forming the groups we always take into account the initial language level of the students and choose the appropriate level of study:

  • Beginner level
  • Elementary level
  • Intermediate level and above

Each level is divided into 3-4 steps, so you can join a group that has already begun training at the 2nd - 4th step if your language level allows. That will give you the possibility to save money and time while learning the language.

The intensity of the course - 90 minute classes, 2 times per week.

The courses are based on the communicative method, which develops all key language skills. The number of students in each group range from 4-8 people to make learning more effective.

2. Additional programs

In addition to the standard courses, the school also offers additional Japanese language programs.

  • The course for travelers is for those those who frequently travel to Japan and want to feel there comfortable even if they have never learnt the language before. This course is specifically designed to help you  survive in every-day life situations like meeting people, ordering food in a restaurant, asking for directions in a city, haggling at the shops and markets and doing many other interesting things in the country you like so much. Feel comfortable and relaxed while traveling! The course is intended for students of beginner and elementary levels (A1-A2, CEFR).
  •   Individual Japanese courseConversational course - this course is aimed at developing the skills needed to understand spoken language on a variety of topics and to speak more confidently about them. It is designed for people of any level from the elementary (A2, CEFR).
  • Business course. Do you need Japanese to socialise at work? Join a Business Japanese course! This course will help you enhance your business communication skills and expands active vocabulary, enriching it with business lexicon. The minimum language requirement for this course is intermediate level (B1, CEFR).

Join a new group or start studying with the group that has already begun the course if it suits you in terms of language, or simply choose an individual course if you like.

3. Individual Courses

 Individual Japanese course - the program for the individual studies designed in accordance with your goals. It is possible to study one to one with the teacher or paired with one more student. Intensity of the lessons may vary. Classes are held both daily and weekly.

4. Online Courses

Online courses of Japanese. Take this course if you need to learn the language but are limited in terms of time. To start you just need a computer with an Internet connection, Skype, a microphone and headphones. Classes can be taken individually or paired with another student.

 


5. Courses for Children

The International O'key Language School offers Japanese courses for children. Teachers organise classes in the form of a game in such a way that kids don’t even realize that they have proper lessons. Students don’t only learn the language but also develop their memory, motorics and learn a lot of new things about the world. Children's groups are formed according to the age, from 3-4 years of age up.

A few facts about the Japanese language:

  • The Japanese writing system is based on Chinese characters and on two types of alphabets.
  • To be able to communicate in Japanese you have to remember about 1850 of Kanji (Japanese characters) and around 146 katakana and hiragana syllables.
  • In the Japanese language, more than one syllables maybe sterred at the same time. That is why the Japanese language is so easy to be sung.
  • In Japanese there are no such sounds as "l", "zh", "z", "v".
